Lend a helping hand in Historic Downtown Columbia’s revitalization!We’ve got several ways for you to get involved – from help on site to seats on various committees. Special Events

Photographers: We’re always looking for great images of Historic Downtown Columbia during our special events. Please contact us if you would like to capture the fun for us on film.

Parade Pals: Volunteer to help us with any of the numerous tasks associated with the Annual Main Street Christmas Parade…assist with parade mailings, lining-up entries, judging entries…

Farmers’ Fresh Market: Volunteer to be a friend of the farmers. Be on hand to distribute shopping bags and recipes, along with routine market information.

Main Street Merchandise: Volunteer for a shift selling Main Street merchandise at one of downtown’s numerous events.

Comittees

Columbia Main Street has four committees: DESIGN, ORGANIZATION, PROMOTIONS, and ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING. Each committee represents one of the “four points” called for by the Main Street Program (www.mainstreet.org) an initiative of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
